How to care for your Olive Trees
When planting any fruit and nut tree, first prepare the soil with mulch and organic fertilizer to soften the ground.
Water the tree thoroughly. Do not over water! Water the tree, let it dry, and water at a different time. Do not water the base if the soil surrounding is wet.
If you have olive trees around snow or freezing weather, they need to be covered.
Olive trees thrive in moderate temperatures. If weather is exceedingly hot, water at night so that the water does not evaporate or burn in the sun.
Patience, patience, patience. It will take at least three years to get enough fruit to cure.
